This calculates what rates are necessary to achieve the desired future value amount, for a given present value amount and the span of time over which to compound your investment. If you have a loan with a nominal annual interest rate of 7%, and you will be making monthly payments, enter 7% and 12. If you are making quarterly payments, enter 7% and 4.
